Movement Intro - Urban Edition

Agnese and Stefano tree hanging

Interact with the urban environment, refine your motor intelligence, and explore movement as a tool for physical literacy

Join us for the third edition of our signature Movement Intro workshop in Valencia - this time taking place in a brand-new setting: Parque Central.

While previous editions focused on open space, this session takes our practice directly into environmental movement. We will interact with Parque Central's urban landscape: turning stairs, walls, rails, ledges, and uneven terrain into a dynamic space for motor problem-solving, organic strength, and spatial awareness.

At Movement Searcher, we bridge the somatic precision of the Feldenkrais Method with the expressive adaptability of Movement Culture (Ido Portal). Whether you are complete beginner or an experienced mover, this session offers a structured gateway into our weekly practice, expanding how you relate to your body and your surroundings.

What We Will Explore

  • Environmental Adaptability & Terrain Work: Utilizing stairs, rails, walls, and ledges to build spatial awareness, soft landing mechanics, and confidence across varied surfaces.
  • Groundwork: Refining movement organization, low-gait transitions, and your relationship with gravity directly on the ground.
  • Organic Strength: Using environmental features for pulling, pushing, vaulting, and climbing mechanics—developing real-world resilience without gym equipment.
  • Dynamic Balance & Reactivity: Balance drills, weight-shifting tasks, and precision steps across narrow or elevated obstacles.
  • Partner Dynamics & Interaction: Cooperative movement tasks, joint problem-solving, and weight-sharing games built on clear physical communication.

Every proposal is guided step-by-step and fully scalable to your current edge. No prior experience or specific physical preparation required.

Why Join This Edition?

  • Reframe the Way You See the Environment: Learn to see the park and city around you as an open movement landscape rather than passive scenery.
  • Move Beyond Classic Fitness: Step outside linear gym routines to build multi-directional control, agility, and sensory clarity.
  • Develop Practical Physical Literacy: Experience how context-driven movement builds adaptable coordination, focus, and resilient joints.
  • Connect with Community: Meet instructors Agnese and Stefano and join a supportive, non-competitive group of local and international movers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Do I need prior movement or parkour experience?

Not at all. Every task is introduced progressively with options for every skill level. We prioritize safety, mechanical clarity, and self-exploration over forced performance.

  • How does this complement other disciplines (climbing, yoga, calisthenics)?

Movement Intro focuses on the fundamental patterns underlying all human movement. By integrating somatic awareness and variable terrain work, you will gain sensory precision, better joint health, and improved motor control that directly transfers to any physical practice.
