Movement Intro March

Explore Movement as a space for learning and discovery
What is the Movement Intro?
The Movement Intro is an open workshop designed to introduce you to Movement Searcher practices and to our way of using movement as a tool for learning, development, and awareness. It is not a traditional class and not a standardized workout. It is a guided exploration space where strength, mobility, balance, coordination, reactivity, proprioception, dexterity, problem solving, and much more become concrete tools to understand how the nervous system learns through movement. It’s an opportunity to move, observe yourself, experiment, and expand your possibilities of action — regardless of your level of experience.
Every Movement Intro is different
Although the underlying principles remain the same, each Movement Intro changes: the proposals, games, group dynamics, interactions, and areas of focus evolve every time. This makes every session unique — whether it’s your first experience or you’ve already joined previous Intros or our weekly classes. We will share practices that we develop weekly in our Movement and Movement Conditioning classes, integrating Feldenkrais-inspired somatic awareness into an experience that is accessible yet rich in stimulation.
What we will explore
During the workshop, we will move through different modes of practice: on the floor, standing, moving through space, in pairs and in groups, with and without objects. We will alternate calmer moments with more dynamic ones, exploring:
- functional strength and mobility
- balance, orientation, and relationship with gravity
- weight shifts, changes of direction, and reactivity
- coordination and rhythm
- proprioception and dexterity
- motor problem solving, to question habitual movement patterns
- partner work, to develop listening, adaptability, and responsiveness
Every proposal is adaptable: no previous experience or specific physical preparation is required.
Inside and outside the studio
If the weather allows, and with advance notice to participants, we may hold the session outdoors in a nearby green space. Practicing outside expands the context, further stimulates adaptability and perception, and allows us to explore movement in relationship with the real environment. This is one of the beautiful aspects of movement practice: it can always adapt.
Why participate?
The Movement Intro is an opportunity to:
- discover (or rediscover) a different way of moving and learning
- step outside habitual patterns and expand your movement repertoire
- improve strength, mobility, balance, and reactivity in an integrated way
- understand what it means to learn through movement, not just perform exercises
- get to know the Movement Searcher approach before starting or continuing with weekly classes
- if you’re already a student, meet new people and enrich your practice
- gift yourself an afternoon of movement, curiosity, and exploration, away from routine
A single experience or part of a journey?
The Movement Intro can be experienced as a complete standalone workshop, or as part of a broader movement development path. It’s an excellent starting point (or deepening experience) if you wish to continue with our weekly Movement or Feldenkrais® classes, Online Coaching, or Personal Training. Each workshop contributes to building continuity, clarity, and competence in how you move and relate to change. Come meet us — and meet yourself 😉

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need previous experience with Movement or Feldenkrais®?
No. The Movement Intro is open to everyone, even without prior experience. All proposals are guided step by step and adaptable to different levels. There are no “right” movements to perform — only explorations to experience according to your current possibilities.
- Is this event suitable for people who already practice sports or other disciplines?
Yes — and it’s one of the ideal contexts. The Movement Intro is especially interesting for those who practice yoga, pilates, crossfit, functional training, dance, martial arts, climbing, running, or other physical activities. Many active people discover new tools here to:
- interpret bodily sensations more clearly
- bring more quality and efficiency into their regular training
- make their practice more adaptable and sustainable over time
- What if I’ve never exercised or don’t feel “sporty”?
That’s perfectly fine. You don’t need to be fit or have a sports background. The Movement Intro is also designed for those starting from scratch or wanting to reconnect with their body in a gradual, curious, and non-judgmental way. We work with simple, progressive, and adaptable movements, respecting individual rhythms. The goal is not performance, but learning to move better — with more comfort, clarity, and confidence.
- Do I need to bring anything?
We recommend comfortable clothing. Practice materials are available in the studio. And bring your curiosity 🙂
- How many participants will there be?
Spots are limited to ensure a comfortable environment, quality of work, and attention to each participant. Registration is required.
