Awareness Through Movement private lessons are one-to-one sessions in which ATM lessons are tailored to the specific needs of the individual. By paying more attention to their way of moving and the sensations that movement generates, the person will gain the ability to find new and more functional movement alternatives.
How the lesson takes place
After a short interview to present the interest/curiosity/difficulty that brings the person to the lesson, the session takes place through the active and guided exploration of specific movements selected from Awareness Through Movement lessons. The practitioner (with both voice and touch) guides the person in an active movement exploration which enables the person to find new alternatives to integrate in their daily activities (work, sports, hobbies, everyday duties). Private ATM lessons can improve sports/artistic performances, reduce strain, pain or discomfort during specific movements, allow the person to regain the ease of moving in everyday life.
